Welcome to El Prado Alpacas

Situated in the lower Hunter Valley on picturesque, high quality pastoral land, El Prado Alpacas, just 50km north-west of Newcastle, is bordered by vineyards and olive groves and overlooks the Hunter River. We are easy to find with bitumen to the front gate, only 5km from the New England Highway, Lochinvar. Please contact us to arrange a visit.

El Prado are breeders of quality Suri and Huacaya Alpaca and Black Dorper Sheep.

We specialise in white, golden and grey suris, and grey huacaya. Our primary alpaca fibre breeding goal is fineness.

Our Dorper breeding goals include complete shedding, disease (parasite) resistence, and low maintenence sheep suited to the Australian environment.
